Olympic games
The Olympic Games were an athletics festival celebrated in ancient Greece in the late 19th century. The Games were officially restricted to amateur status competitors before 1970, although in the 1980s many events were opened to professional athletes. More recently, the games have been opened to anyone who can compete, including professional basketball and football (soccer) athletes. The head of the city sends an official application for hosting, endorsing it with the support of the central government. Applications shall contain a clause stating that no political meetings or demonstrations shall be held by or for the benefit of the competitors in the Stadium or other sports grounds allocated by the organizing committee or in the Olympic Village. The right of every competitor to run will be free and there should be no discrimination by the fact of his religion, color, or political allegiance.
There is an implication in this that no national government can deny its competitors visas.
