 Zakir Naik

Zakir Naik (born 18 October 1965) is an Indian Muslim public speaker on comparative religion.
He is the founder and president of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) and Peace TV. He is a well-known figure in the Muslim world and although he does not claim to be a follower of any particular school of thought in Islam, he is most famous for his subscription to the school of thought. Naik, Zakir Naik, Doctor Zakir, Naik Abdullah, today, has an arrest warrant in India, where following accusations of money laundering outside of the country in Malaysia, in the year 2016, the police then had at the time. As a result, Naik never returned to India and is a permanent resident of Malaysia. Naik denies all the accusations. The National Investigation Agency attempted fruitlessly to an Interpol red notice for his arrest, due to lack of evidence. Naik’s Peace TV channel is banned in India, Bangladesh, Canada, Sri Lanka, and the UK under hate speech laws.

CAREER OF Zakir Naik

abdul karim naik work in1991 full-time in the field of dawah and founded the International Islamic School of Mumbai and the United Islamic Aid which provides scholarships to poor and disadvantaged Muslim youth. Naik’s wife, Farhat Naik, is head of state of the women’s section of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF). He has also founded the United Islamic Relief, which gives scholarships to poor and needy Muslim youth. Naik claimed in 2006 that he was inspired by Ahmed Didat, Naik, Naik Zakir, Dr. Zakir Naik an Islamic preacher whom he began to meet in 1987. At times, Naik has been called  Didat gave him. On January 21, 2006, the Islamic Research Foundation, headed by Naik, established Peace TV. It is a non-profit Emirati satellite television network that transmits free-to-air programming. It is one of the largest religious satellite television websites in the world. In the second half of March 2021, Naik floats  which provides educational content about Islam. The
It is a platform that contains thousands of hours of videos by more than 40 famous Muslim speakers from around the world.

LECTURES AND DEBATES

Zakir naik  are unlike many other Muslim preachers, his lectures are informal and conducted in English—not Urdu or Arabic—and he typically wears a suit and tie. Naik has organized scores of debates and public talks and is said to have “delivered more than 4,000 lectures worldwide” as of 2016. Anthropologist Thomas Blom Hansen has written about how Naik memorized the recitation of the Qur’an and hadiths in many languages, and his evangelical activity made him popular among Muslim circles. Many of his debates have been recorded and widely distributed on video, DVD, and on the Internet. His lectures were videotaped in English and broadcast on weekends on several cable networks in Mumbai’s Muslim neighborhoods, as there are in suburbs of many large Western cities, besides on Peace TV. The topics he speaks on include: “Islam and modern science”, “Islam and Christianity”, and “Islam and secularism. His first debate was in 1994, a debate on writer Taslima Nasreen’s views on Islam in her book Lajja, organized by the Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh, titled “Religious Fundamentalism.
In 2000 Naik debated with William Campbell in Chicago on “The Qur’an and the Bible: In the Light of Science”; this was one of his most quoted debates. On 21 January 2006, he had another inter-religious public debate with Ravi Shankar on the concept of Islam. God in Islam and Hinduism in Bangalore. In February 2011 Naik addressed the Oxford Union via video link from India.

CRITICISM OF MEDIA

Naik called the word media “the most important tool, even the most dangerous weapon in the world, which turns the black into white and the villain into a hero.” He concluded that “we have to turn the tables over by using the same media to remove misunderstandings, misquotations, misinterpretations and create better understanding about Islam.” He said that the Western powers and media have pursued a twin policy, terms used for Muslims to defame Islam. He opined: The greatest harm to the image of Islam today is done by the international media that bombards it daily and nightly with misconceptions employing several tactics. The international media be it the press, audio, video, or online, use several tactics to demonize Islam, varying from pointing to a few bad elements in the Muslim community to projecting them as the face of Islam. Naik also claimed that the “third and fourth” media tactics in foreign countries are to “take a word from the Qur’an or
the Sunnah and to translate it wrong” and “defame Islam by saying something that is not part of it”. Naik also condemns the way Muslims are shown in the movies. Naik also quoted that: If a Muslim Woman wears a Hijab or veil, then she has no rights, If a Nun does the same, then it is a sign of respect and modesty.

Muslim Man of 50 years marrying a 16-year-old girl (by her will) goes on the news headline, but a 50-year-old
The Muslim man who rapes a six-year-old girl appears as shorthand or filler for relevant information. They say that Islam does not give rights to women and that it is an illogical religion. They present Islam as the problem of humanity when it is the solution to all human problems. It’s the same thing for the misinterpreted words “fundamentalist” and “extremist, are essentially Western words. A true Muslim should be an extremist in a good direction. being extremely kind, loving, tolerant, honest, and fair. As Indians fought for their freedom, the British government called them terrorists; same business and, the same people but two different labelings. The same thing happened with Muslims, who are termed terrorists of the world in the media, so we’ve got to look at history and logic before we identify people. ”

VIEWS ON TERRORISM

A terrorist by definition, a terrorist means a person who terrorizes.” In this context, every Muslim must be a terrorist against every anti-social element. I am aware that the term terrorist is more often used to refer to a person who terrorizes innocent human beings. So what, in this context, no Muslim should ever terrorize a single innocent human being? “Naik has been at the center of many controversies about the topic of terrorism since many have regarded him as a propeller of inspiration to terrorists. In 1996, Naik delivered a speech relating to terrorism and Osama bin Laden. Naik said, “Every Muslim should be a terrorist. The fact is that if he [Osama bin Laden] terrorizes the terrorist, then he follows Islam. Perhaps the other controversial point of his speech was calling America “the biggest terrorist”. In another speech, he said that “Western countries say war for peace, the war for peace”. This is not a war for peace, it is a war against peace.” Naik’s
comments received considerable media attention and the British government banned him based on these comments. Naik’s lawyer and the IRF argued that the speech was made before 9/11, that the media misrepresented Naik and made misleading statements about the timing of Naik’s speech, and that the decision to arrest Naik in the UK was “politically motivated”. Naik said that Hitler, “who was not a Muslim, is the biggest terrorist in the world because he burned four to six million Jews. “When questioned about the massacres, Naik said “The Quran says this – if someone kills an innocent human being, Muslim or non-Muslim, it is as if he has killed the whole of humanity. So how can a Muslim kill innocent human beings? It was permissible, he said, to kill a person who had “killed someone else. or created corruption within the media and explained that it is “taking verses from the Quran or hadiths and quoting them out of context to describe Islam as a religion that promotes violence and murder.” He specifically cited that “critics of Islam quote verse 5/9
which says: ‘Where you find a non-Muslim, kill him’ out of context to polarize Islam when it comes to order on a battlefield, and Islam always promotes peace the most. a good option in time of war”.

when asked about the suicide attacks according to his opinion considering the suicidal attacks of humans, he made his hopeful views and said that there is
permission for deadly suicidal attacks by Islam and “it is haram if innocent people are killed. But if suicide attacks are used as a war tactic, they may be allowed.
